Women Vote NOW:

Honoring Suffragists of Color Who Made a Difference

August 26, 2019     6:30 pm

Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation,

2315 Division St. NW, Olympia

Thurston County NOW will host “Women Vote NOW: Honoring Suffragists of Color Who Made aDifference."  By co-sponsoring this event, LWV-TC is joining others to celebrate the 2020 Centennial of the 19th Amendment, the right to vote for women earned on August 26, 1920.

This event will honor the suffragists of color who worked courageously to support abolition and suffrage. Theirs was an intersection (race and gender) fraught with danger and bravery.

This "free to the public" gathering will be lots of fun.
