Student Worksheet: Election Credibility Short-Form Video Ideas

Instructions: Use this page as a space to brainstorm ideas for your group's short-form video on elections and election credibility in Washington State. The questions that follow can guide your process.

Remember, you are trying to tell a story while informing the viewer about election credibility. Persuading viewers to trust our elections is okay, persuading them to vote a certain way is not.

  • How do we verify dis- or misinformation?
  • Do we see ourselves represented in politics and policy?
  • How does seeing politicians from marginalized communities being mistreated affect our trust in election credibility?
  • Do we believe what we see in the media?
  • Why should we trust the government in elections? What is our democracy worth to you?

Now brainstorm with your group: Which of these or other questions are important to you and your peers? How could you explore those questions and their answers with a story?
